Obsidian has announced a launch date for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, as well as what rewards those who pre-order will receive. The game, much like its predecessor, was created thanks to a successful funding campaign. Taking cues from classic RPGs, Deadfire is set to offer an immersive experience with a bunch of story and customization.
Those who pick up the deluxe edition (£46.49) will gain access to the soundtrack, in-game pet, special item, digital pen-and-paper guide, high-resolution map, as well as a digital guide. The Obsidian edition (£57.99) takes all of this and throws in three DLC expansions. The standard edition is £32.99.
And for the pre-order bonuses:
- St. Drogga’s Skull: Crafted from a sabre and the skull of a martyr, it will slash and burn enemies in combat, while also guiding players through the darkest reaches of the Deadfire.
- Beakhead, the Hawk: Beakhead, the white hawk, took a liking to your ship soon after you arrived in the Deadfire. Captains in the Deadfire are only as effective as their crew, and with this jaunty first-mate by your side, you’re bound to find success at sea.
- The Black Flag: This flag is said to have been flown by a mysterious and rowdy band of seadogs from a far-off land, who dyed their sails black with a stain made from ground-up dragon glass. Dark and intimidating, but somehow attractive, nonetheless.
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire will launch on April 3. You can pre-order the game on GOG and Steam.
